Home Sweet Home

We arrived back in Springfield around 7:00 p.m. Saturday night. We thank God for His guiding hand providing us with a safe journey home. Sunday evening, we shared with the congregation about all the exciting ways God is working through Drew and Pam's ministry in Wyoming.

Remember Drew and Pam in your prayers, along with the congregation at FBC Big Piney, Pastor Barry, and the workers of the oil patch. May God's Holy Spirit work in power among these marvelous people in the beautiful American West!

Halfway Home

We made it to Kearney, Nebraska late last night. We are looking forward to getting home to share with all of you the exciting things God is doing in Wyoming. We've had a marvelous week serving with Drew and Pam. Pray for us today as we journey on the last leg home. We can't wait to see all of you!

A Great Week

Yesterday was another extraordinary day in Wyoming. We prayer walked, and served three barbecue meals to oil field workers both in the field and at the man camp. In the evening, we had our last service at the fair. We had many new people stopping by to hear at least part of the program. Evangelist Eddie Middleton shared the gospel in song and word. We have planted many seeds through the week. Pray that God will continue to bring the harvest as Drew and Pam and the wonderful people at FBC continue to serve Him here.

Pray for us as we begin our journey home today. We will travel to Kearney, Nebraska today, and the rest of the way to Springfield tomorrow. God has been so good to us this week to keep everyone healthy and safe. We look forward to being back at NHBC to share with you all that God is doing in Wyoming.

Great Night at the Fair

Tonight was a wonderful evening of watching God work at the fair. Despite another rain storm, there was a good crowd listening to the different parts of the service. We noticed several people walking by who stopped to listen to what was taking place. They came on a good night. This evening, two new believers gave their testimonies. One described how God had transformed his life and his family through his grace. Another gave her testimony by singing on horseback. She wanted to sing in this way so that her family (not believers) would come and hear her - they did! God worked in wonderful ways.

Be in prayer for us tomorrow. We will be prayer walking in Marbleton, and have three barbecues scheduled in different oil field areas. We will also be working with NAMB evangelist Eddie Middleton at the fair. It promises to be a blessed day!

Jonah Field

Today, we went with the mobile chapel to serve hamburgers and hot dogs to the workers in the Jonah Field. Despite a summer rainstorm, we still had a great number of men stop by to eat. We were able to pass out New Testaments and share the gospel with workers from Mexico, Colorado, and more. Tonight we will be back at the fair. Last night we had several unsaved folks attend at least part of the service. Pray that tonight we will continue to see God at work here in Big Piney.

Man Camp Chapel

This afternoon, we had our first visit to the chapel at the Jonah Field Man Camp. God has provided Drew and Pam a wonderful location for this ministry. Pray for them as they seek to meet the spiritual needs of the workers staying at the man camp.

Tonight is our second night at the fair. We have been told this may be the lowest day for attendance at the fair as a whole, but we are trusting God to bring the people he wants to be there to hear his Good News.

Kimmerer

It has been another great day on mission in Wyoming. Today, we drove to Kimmerer to pray at the location of a new mission start. The new church has been meeting in the community event center for about a month. We prayer walked through several neighborhoods after praying together at the event center. I believe God has some exciting days ahead for this new church. Pray for them as they plan for a VBS in late August.

At the Fair (Sublette County style)

We had a great first night at the Sublette County Fair. We met several members of the First Baptist Church of Big Piney, many of whom are new Christians who came to know Christ through Drew and Pam's ministry at the oil field. Several of them gave testimonies during the program. It was a joy to hear how God is working in their lives.
Tuesday, we will travel to Kemmerer to prayer walk over an area where a new mission has been established. In the evening, we will be back ministering at the fair. Pray that God will continue to bless with his power and presence. We are seeing Him at work!

So far, this has been one of the most fulfilling things I have ever done. We have met some of the nicest people and seen some really neat things! Pam & Drew have quite a mission field here. We have experienced some interaction with Satan this week, but we know God will overcome all his attempts. Please keep up the prayers as we know there are seeds being planted this week that God will bring to fruition. I thank Him for seeing the way clear for me to be a part of this exciting mission trip.

Well, it was a long trip getting here, but we saw lots of beautiful country and we've already had plentiful blessings. It's been great visiting with Drew and Pam. Monday evening at the fair went well with several of the First Baptist folks attending. We were the ones receiving revival when we listened to their testimonies and songs. All of them were fairly new Christians who were on fire for Christ.

I have had a great time traveling through Northwest Missouri, south central Nebraska, and southern Wyoming. The greatest blessings so far have been 1) praying with the librarian at the Big Piney branch of the Sublette County Library, 2) visiting over lunch today with a fellow believer who has spent 38 years in the oil patch, 3) and sharing with our brethren and sistren of 1st Baptist Big Piney.
Love to all of you and I sincerely wish you were here, the weather and people have been wonderful.

First day on the field

After two days on the van, it feels great to be working on the field with Drew and Pam. Today, we divided into two groups. One went with Pam and did prayer walking in Big Piney. The other went with Drew to the Mesa oil field in the mobile chapel to set up for a barbecue. The first group joined the second at the oil field, where we welcomed 25 oil field workers with hamburgers, hot dogs, smiling faces and special copies of the New Testament prepared for oil field workers.

Tonight is our first night at the Sublette County Fair. Pray that God will use this opportunity to spread the gospel across Sublette County. Drew has enlisted several of the oil field workers to give their testimonies about how Christ has changed their lives. We will be singing, giving testimonies, making balloon animals, doing blood pressure checks, and passing out tracts and information about the Good News. We are praying for a great harvest in God's kingdom.

Safely in Big Piney

After a long day of traveling, we arrived safely in Big Piney. We couldn't resist this photo. We filled up midway through Nebraska at Fat Dog's gas station. Look at the sign above the sign in the photo. I have to admit, the middle of Nebraska feels a little like nowhere...

Kearney (the town, not the street)

After a day of traveling we arrived at Kearney, Nebraska around midnight. We are roughly halfway to Big Piney. We've had a great trip so far with good weather, safe travel, and some delicious KC barbecue! Thank you to everyone who made it possible for us to make this journey through your giving, helping in the plans and preparation, and especially to everyone who is lifting us in prayer. Continue to pray for us tomorrow as we journey through Nebraska and Wyoming on the second leg of our trip to Big Piney. Pray for safety, rest, and a continued excitement for what God is going to do. We are praying for you as you worship the Savior back at National Heights.
